It All Started With A Dream To Be Different, Make Impact and Leave a legacy

My career commenced over 18 years ago as a Refunds Client Officer at Silhouette Travels, a premier Nigerian travel agency. Recognizing the potential for growth, I proposed that the company diversify its services to include tour guiding and operations, alongside its established ticketing and reservations offerings. Although I prepared a comprehensive proposal at the time, I faced challenges in securing leadership buy-in, primarily due to my nascent understanding of the intricacies involved in tour operations.

Following my tenure there, I transitioned into freelance work before securing a mentorship under Elder Oladipo Jemi Alade, the founder of NATOP and Jemi Alade Tours—one of Nigeria’s foremost tour operation companies. Serving as both an intern and a partner, I leveraged my previous experience as a Project Manager Nigeria and Community Officer for Microsoft’s Biz4Afrika initiative to master the craft of tourism operations. I successfully established my professional standing and expanded into business consulting with the support of institutions such as the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) and Incubator Africa. While I remain profoundly grateful for these foundational experiences, I recognize that the strategies employed a decade ago are no longer sufficient in today’s market. The industry has undergone significant transformation, and I have dedicated the last ten years to refining my methodology to remain at the forefront of these advancements.
